NB: I've only just started watching season 1 but here's plot details of seasons 1 - 4:

SEASON ONE:

101. "PREMIERE" (Pilot)
Bobby represents a young woman, Rachel Reynolds, who is charged with drug possession and intent to distribute. He takes a risky approach her defense when she refuses to accept a plea. Lindsay goes up against her former law professor Anderson Pearson when her client wants to sue a tobacco company for causing his wife's death. Eugene and Ellenor represent a man who repeatedly exposes himself in public.

102. "PART II"
Eugene takes it personally when the court refuses to issue a restraining order against a client's husband who constantly terrorizes his wife and son. With the firm in dire financial trouble, Bobby tries to save the practice by accepting a shady loan from an old friend named Jimmy Berluti. Ellenor looks for love in the personal ads.

103. "TRIAL AND ERROR"
Bobby prepares for a civil trial against Ronald Martin, a man who brutally killed his girlfriend. Bobby gets involved in Lindsay's tobacco case when he thinks her obstacles against Anderson Pearson are too much for her to handle. Jimmy loses his job at the bank when they find out about his shady loan to the firm; Bobby hires him as another attorney in the practice.

104. "PART IV"
Ronald Martin is set free. Father of the victim Gerald Braun shoots Martin and is imprisoned. Jimmy appears on national television with Gerald Braun's rabbi who makes a shocking confession. Lindsay prepares for her first jury trial against T.L. Michael's Tobacco Company. Her opening argument is so brilliant that Pearson offers her client a huge settlement.

105. "PART V"
Bobby continues to fight for Gerald Braun, and must go up against a formidable opponent in District Attorney Asher Silverman. Eugene goes to trial for a mugger with a track record, placing bets with the A.D.A and with Lindsay that he will win the case. Ellenor finally has a date with the podiatrist she met in the personals, George Vogelman. The acquisition of a new conference table means more to Lindsay than just a new piece of furniture.

106. "PART VI"
Gerald Braun's trial ends, with Bobby arguing that the crime was morally justified. Eugene represents a 19 year old boy accused of statutory rape against his 14 year old girlfriend. Lindsay has a client who was a bomber and wants to surrender after 26 years on the lam.

107. "DOG BITE"
Ellenor and Lindsay defend Kenny the pimp, and Lindsay is approached by a jury member in a elevator. It jeopardizes their case and both their careers. Jimmy gets his first case as he fights for a little girl bitten by a rottweiler. Eugene makes more bets that he will get off his one-legged thief of a client.

108. "FIRST DEGREE"
Ellenor and Lindsay face disbarrment proceedings for their entanglement with the juror. Bobby serves as co-counsel with his former lover on a murder case. Eugene defends a cop who believes that the job turned him into a racist. And Jimmy has an erotic dream about Lindsay.

109. "SEX, LIES AND MONKEYS"
Lindsay's occasional boyfriend Chris Kelton slips her the date rape drug which causes Lindsay frustration and anger. George Vogelman sues Ellenor for emotional distress after she dumps him because she doensn't like his looks. Jimmy defends a man who was fired because he looks like a monkey and Bobby tries to right the wrongs in the conviction of an innocent woman.

110. "RACE WITH THE DEVIL"
Bobby's priest, Father Martin, is charged with murder after a parishioner dies during an exorcism. Eugene represents Martin Parks in a bizarre malpractice suit. And Jimmy tapes a television commericial to drum up business which does not please the other members of the firm.

111. "THE CIVIL RIGHT"
Jimmy must face his own prejudices when his mother reveals she is a lesbian and wants to marry another woman. But he fights for her in court so the two may be married. Ellenor and Eugene team up to defend a repeat rapist but Eugene questions himself yet again when he meets one of the victims in a clothing store

112. "HIDE AND SEEK"
Bobby and Lindsay second-chair a case with Bobby's old mentor, Raymond Oz, a legenday attorney. Oz suffers from severe memory lapses both in and out of the courtroom. Eugene struggles with himself when he defends a repeat sodomizer who murders two little boys; his anger erupts in violence against his client. Jimmy's fantasies come true when his celebrity idol from his teenage years asks him for his legal counsel.

113. "THE PURSUIT OF DIGNITY"
After she is arrested on prostitution charges, an old girlfriend of Bobby's seeks his help. Ellenor and Rebecca fight for a young girl who faces expulsion from school because of her Tourette's Syndrome outbursts. Lindsay represents a woman who sues her doctor after he sews live maggots into her leg to prevent infection.

SEASON TWO:

201. "REASONABLE DOUBTS"
The firm questions Bobby's judgement when he becomes romantically involved with his beautiful but icy client accused of murder. She claims to have shot the victim in self-defense because he was trying to rape her. But the fact that she shot him five times does not help her case. (Lara Flynn Boyle joins the cast as A.D.A. Helen Gamble)

202. "BETRAYAL"
Eugene and Ellenor are called to the scene of a city councilman's apartment where he is found stabbed to death. The killer: colorful, narcissistic Joey Heric. Unpredictable events ensue. Jimmy is tried on solicitation charges after he tries to help a hooker get off the streets.

203. "THE BLESSING"
Bobby and Helen go head to head in an assisted suicide case. Both lawyers are forced to come to terms with their painful memories of a loved one who died in similar circumstances. Lindsay goes up against her ex-boyfriend when she defends an elderly bookie.

204. "SEARCH AND SEIZURE"
Lindsay grows increasingly frustrated with her job after she puts yet another drug dealer back on the strets. Helen makes a pass at an unsuspecting Bobby during a Halloween party. Eugene and Ellenor represent a friend of Rebecca's who seeks a court injunction to force his wife to have a Caesarian section against her wishes. A doctor's actions prove a crisis of conscience for Rebecca.

205. "THE MEANS"
Bobby uses the race card in defense of a black man accused of manslaughter during a riot, which angers Eugene. Ellenor represents her obnoxious cousin who wants to sue the travel agency for ruining her honeymoon.

206. "SAVE THE MULE"
Lindsay must choose between her drug-dealer client and his "mule" when the young girl ("mule") faces death from swallowing baggies of cocaine. Lindsay tells Bobby she no longer wants to do drug cases. Jimmy takes the case of a community stricken by cancer, hoping to prove power lines in the area caused the tragedies. Lindsay and Bobby end their secret romance so Bobby can pursue a relationship with Helen Gamble.

207. "SPIRIT OF AMERICA"
Donnell and Associates are called by the Capital Defenders Project to keep convicted murderer Randy Jefferson from facing death by lethal injection. Their frantic process to prevent his execution is caught on tape by a documentary crew.

208. "LINE OF DUTY"
While in the heat of passion with Helen, Bobby overhears police plans to raid one of his drug clients. After Bobby warns the client, three police officers are killed and Bobby faces multiple reckless homicide charges. Jimmy goes up against a large Boston electric company as he tries to prove they caused his clients' cancer and also tries to uphold his own reputation against the opposing counsel.

209. "TRUTH AND CONSEQUENCES"
Jimmy and Ellenor enlist Lindsay's help as the powerline case continues. Rebecca picks out a murderer in a police line-up after witnessing a gruesome shooting. The killer's brother threatens Rebecca's life.

210. "BURDEN OF PROOF"
Jimmy and Lindsay fight for their clients with cancer as the powerline case comes to a head. The amazing verdict proves to be a bittersweet victory for Jimmy when the judge overturns it and awards the victims nothing.

211. "TIES THAT BIND"
Ellenor and Lindsay defend a porn star accused of killing her husband during a bondage sex scene. Ellenor learns that the D.A.'s office has a vendetta against their firm. Rebecca's ID of the murder suspect is called into question when the opposing counsel brings it to court as tainted. Bobby and Helen's relationship is put to the test when Lindsay's fondness for elbow sucking gets Bobby in trouble when he tries to suck Helen's elbows. Helen learns that the two have slept together in the past.

212. "THE TRIAL" (Part 1 of 2) a
nother victim is found decapitated and without hands or feet, making everyone believe "The Poet" has struck again. However, a prominent doctor, Jeffrey Winslow, is charged with the crime, as the woman was his mistress. Dr. Winslow gives Bobby's firm a million dollar retainer, and Bobby refuses to back down from the case even after he learns Helen is the prosecuting attorney. The two break up because neither will recuse themself. Eugene defends Rebecca's eccentric uncle who is charged with tax evasion.

213. "CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEMBRANES" (Part 2 of 2)
The trial of Jeffrey Winslow continues. Bobby and Helen pull out all the stops to get the verdict each one wants. Most of Helen's key evidence gets thrown out, however, she has a bloody footprint up her sleeve. Bobby discovers the "secret" evidence, and blows her cover. Yet Dr. Winslow is found guilty. We are left wondering why his wife has such a satisfied look on her face after the verdict is read.

214. "IN DEEP"
Rebecca is called to testify against the man she witnessed shooting the gas station attendant. The prosecution's entire case rests on Rebecca's version of events. Ellenor pawns off one of her cases to Lindsay who must represent a man with floating feces. Ellenor then defends Warren Crookshank for purse snatching. Eugene gets a shirt back from the cleaners a few sizes too small and must deal with his own racial prejudices.

215. "ANOTHER DAY"
Bobby defends colorful character Joey Heric on murder charges once again. Problems arise when Joey decides to be his own counsel but Bobby remains as his back up attorney. Ellenor continues to fight for Warren Crookshank as he faces anti-tourism charges. She makes an impassioned speech about the state trying to send a message about committing crimes against tourists. Lindsay has a chance to fight back against Anderson Pearson when he tells her she has chosen the wrong path. Lindsay sues Pearson himself when she suspects he may be burying damaging information that could help her client who is addicted to cigarettes.

216. "CHECKMATE"
Helen desperately attempts to outsmart Joey Heric who ingeniusly represents himself. Ellenor argues a case of discrimination for an overweight woman who was taunted by a circus clown. Bobby feels the case is too close to home for her, and assigns Lindsay as second chair.

217. "TREES IN THE FOREST"
Lindsay causes an uproar during a staff meeting when she demands to be made partner in the firm. Helen prosecutes a man for a hit and run against a homeless victim. Rebecca receives an animal rights award, but jeopardizes her accolade when she kills a rat in the office. Lindsay confesses her love for Bobby, and tells him that it is one reason why she stays on at the practice.

218. "FOOD CHAINS"
Rebecca and Jimmy go undercover in an attempt to break an insurance fraud ring after Rebecca is involved in a car accident which appears to be a scam. Ellenor represents a scientist who wants to stop a primate center from selling an intelligent chimpanzee to research. Bobby decides to make Lindsay, Ellenor, Eugene and Rebecca partners in the firm.

219. "AXE MURDERER" (2)
(Special Note: This episode was the second part to an Ally McBeal/Practice crossover. The first part aired the same evening as an episode of Ally McBeal on Fox, entitled "Inmates.")
Rebecca and Jimmy continue to infiltrate the insurance scam by investigating a crooked chiropracter, Fred Spivak. Lindsay realizes that Spivak is the same man Ellenor is currently dating, and falling in love with. Bobby and Eugene assist Ally McBeal and Billy Thomas from the law offices of Cage & Fish in defense of a woman who committed a gruesome murder with an axe. The lawyers from the two different firms clash over the use of some unorthodox courtroom tactics.

220. "DUTY BOUND"
Jimmy's strong Catholic faith is shaken when his priest, Father Ryan, is arrested for the murder of a teenage boy. As Jimmy gets closer to the truth, he is shot at point blank range. The firm prays for his life and attempts to find out who is responsible. Ellenor struggles over her sense of ethics which is in conflict with her relationship with Fred Spivak.

221. "RHYME AND REASON"
Bobby defends a 13 year old boy who shot and killed his mother over a petty argument. Helen wants to try the boy as an adult, and Bobby is powerless to stop her. Eugene wrestles with the morality of his profession and its effect on his son Kendall. Lindsay tries very hard to land a class-action asbestos suit as part of her plans to change and improve the firm's reputation.

SEASON THREE:

301. "PASSING GO"
Bobby is hit by a car as he crosses the street, preoccupied with staring at a sexy woman. (Ally McBeal??) The driver of the car is Ellenor's client. Ellenor becomes disillusioned with herself and with the law when she realizes that despicable actions have become second nature to her. Lindsay finally finishes the new conference room, and Bobby struggles with feelings he has about his father. The whole firm is surprised to find out that Rebecca has been attending law school at night for the past five years and has passed the bar exam. Helen prosecutes two teenage boys for killing a 15 year old girl.

302. "REASONS TO BELIEVE"
Helen and Lindsay move in together. The firm gets a new secretary, Lucy Hatcher, who dispenses unwanted advice and annoys the majority of the firm's members. Lindsay and Bobby rush to defend Lindsay's law professor and mentor, Anderson Pearson, who has shot and killed a man who was stalking his family. Rebecca represents a young boy who stole a bicycle. (Marla Sokoloff joins the cast as Lucy Hatcher)

303. "BODY COUNT"
Bobby and Lindsay start to work tirelessly on the Pearson case. Lindsay struggles with her feelings and ambitions. George Vogelman, the podiatrist that Ellenor formerly dated, comes into the office with a severed head in his medical bag. Eugene and Ellenor must decide how to deal with George. Jimmy and Rebecca defend Jesse Manning, a man accused of plotting the murder of his wife. They face looming evidence of step-by-step drawings of the murder accompanied by an intricately devised plan of execution.

304. "THE DEFENDERS"
Anderson Pearson's court date arrives. Bobby and Lindsay await the jury's surprisingly quick verdict -- guilty. Ellenor realizes she may be too close to George Vogelman to see clearly in his trial for the murder of Susan Robin. Eugene takes over as first chair as Ellenor struggles over whether George is innocent after a strange pornography collection is found in his apartment.

305. "THE BATTLEFIELD"
Jimmy defends his cousin, who is being sued for wrongful termination by an Iranian woman. He must face his own feelings about his own prejudices and about the beautiful woman as the civil suit proceeds. Eugene and Ellenor search for another possible suspect in the murder of Susan Robin....but nothing seems to exonerate George completely. Lindsay presents a brilliant appeal on behalf of Anderson Pearson before a panel of judges, but she must come to terms with her strong emotions due to her loss at trial. (The Iranian woman who sues Jimmy's cousin was played by Shiva Rose Afshar, Dylan McDermott's wife)

306. "ONE OF THOSE DAYS"
Tensions flare at the firm as Ellenor and Eugene adopt questionable tactics to defend George Vogelman. Lindsay suggests "Plan B," a controversial defense strategy which has the lawyer accuse someone else of the murder, usually a friend or family member of the victim. Eugene questions his humanity as the trial concludes, even though George is found not guilty.

307. "TRENCH WORK"
The firm is stunned when fellow attorney Tommy Silva sues each of them personally for defamation. He represents Steven Robin, whom Eugene accused of murdering his sister Susan in an attempt to exonerate George Vogelman. Lindsay contines her pleas to Judge Hiller to reduce Anderson Pearson's conviction to manslaughter. Bobby fears for her both professionally and personally. Helen continues to try to keep a four year old witness from testifying against a young man who bludgeoned the little boy's babysitter to death.

308. "SWEARING IN"
Lindsay and Eugene prepare to fight the lawsuit against Tommy Silva. The firm questions Bobby's move of appointing Jimmy as first chair in the case. Bobby defends Evelyn Mayfield, a woman accused of murdering a baby in her care. Rebecca questions the legal system just days before her swearing-in ceremony when she believes her client may be a serial killer.

309. "STATE OF MIND"
Evelyn Mayfield's trial begins. Rebecca defends the same boy who stole the bicycle again -- this time for passing a sexually explicit note to a girl in his class. Bobby asks Lindsay about a kiss they once shared, and Lindsay tells him that while this is a great job, it is not a great life. She needs someone to pull her out of it, and he cannot be that for her, even though she could fall in love with him all over again if she let herself. Lucy surprises Bobby with an unexpected Christmas kiss. The firm continues to debate whether Jimmy as first chair is the best choice.

310. "LOVE AND HONOR"
Jimmy takes on Tommy Silva as he struggles for the firm's future. He must use some unpopular tactics with his colleagues when Ellenor and Eugene prove ineffective on the witness stand. Bobby's conflicted feelings about Lindsay cause him extreme guilt over the innocent kiss with Lucy. The firm triumphs over the defamation suit, and Jimmy seems the hero. Later, at the office's Christmas party, Lindsay and Bobby kiss passionately and get together as a couple again.

311. "SPLIT DECISIONS"
Eugene defends a friend, Jerry Green, after Jerry is arrested while dressed in drag on prostitution charges. Because a high-ranking politician is also implicated in the case, Helen must humiliate Jerry Green on the stand in order to prosecute the politician. Ellenor is approached by a lucrative new client, an asbestos company, who wants her and the firm to represent them. The client is rejected by a partnership vote, which enrages Ellenor and seems to create a powerplay dominated by Bobby and Lindsay. Bobby must reprimand Lucy after she pulls a horrid practical joke on Ellenor, placing a fake head in a medical bag near her desk.

312. "A DAY IN THE LIFE"
Bobby and Eugene travel to a friend's home to counsel his family when a dead infant is discovered in the teenage daughter's closet. Bobby faces an ethical crisis when he makes a heart breaking decision to conceal evidence and give the child a proper funeral. Lindsay helps Jimmy defend a shipwrecked man accused of murdering a companion for the life-vest to save his own life. Rebecca gets a drug dealer off when the arresting officer recites an implausible story on the stand. And Helen desperately tries to arrange a day of rest and relaxation at a spa for herself and Lindsay.

313. "JUDGE AND JURY"
Helen prosecutes a TV News Magazine after the producer airs a controversial, Kevorkian-like suicide on television. Judge Roberta Kittleson informs Bobby that she has had erotic dreams about him, and Bobby worries that Kittleson is biased against him after he reacted negatively to her advances. Lucy teaches Eugene's son Kendall how to dance, which causes Kendall to develop a crush on her.

314. "OF HUMAN BONDAGE"
An attorney friend of Bobby asks his help in defending a young prostitute accused of murder. Ellenor defends her first client ever, drug addict Leonard Sowers. While working on a divorce case, Jimmy teaches Rebecca how to leave clients in a better place by hatching up a brilliant scheme with the opposing counsel to placate the warring man and woman. Kendall asks Lucy out on a date, and Eugene must break his heart by telling him Lucy is too old for him.

315. "LAWYERS, REPORTERS AND COCKROACHES"
Tensions flare at the firm as Ellenor's anger grows over losing her asbestos clients. When she finds out that Lindsay makes twice her salary, she tries to recruit Jimmy over to her side to break what she perceives to be a Bobby/Lindsay power-block. A partners meeting escalates into an all-out, sumo-wrestling brawl! Meanwhile, Bobby and Lindsay represent a restaurant owner suing a news reporter for airing an expose about cockroaches in the kitchen. Helen prosecutes a teenage boy for visciously killing an old woman's cat.

316. "END GAMES"
The office is thrown into turmoil when Ellenor's client Leonard Sowers rushes through the door and throws what appears to be heroine onto Ellenor's desk. The cops are right on his heels and arrest Ellenor for possession. A search of Ellenor's desk uncovers a bloody knife -- the weapon used in the Susan Robin murder. The firm drops everything to help Ellenor. An ingeniuus discovery by Rebecca reveals a police conspiracy to frame Ellenor and get to George Vogelman. Much to Lindsay's chagrin, Bobby represents Judge Kittleson in a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by one of her former law clerks. Jimmy is mesmerized by Kittleson's frank sexual discussion, and decides to toast victory with her with a glass of champagne at a nice restaurant.

317. "TARGET PRACTICE"
Eugene's son Kendall is arrested for having drugs at school. Bobby gets behind Eugene and works to get Kendall a light punishment. Eugene discovers a videotape of Kendall discussing how he feels about doing drugs and about crime. Much of what Kendall says has come directly out of Eugene's mouth. This scares his ex-wife Sharon who wants to sue for sole custody of Kendall, saying Eugene's career is a bad influence. Jimmy and Lindsay sue a gun manufacturer after a teenage girl is killled. Jimmy argues that the gun company targeted advertising at criminals and also circumvented gun laws by selling mail-order gun kits.

318. "CROSSFIRE"
Eugene fights Sharon for custody of Kendall. Sharon believes Eugene's job is sending the wrong message to their son. Bobby must dig up some unpleasant parts of Sharon's past to help Eugene stay in Kendall's life. The judge tells Eugene and Sharon to try to work out their problems, and he refues to grant either one of them sole custody. Helen prosecutes an alleged carjacker who she suspects may actually be innocent. Rebecca tries to get a psychiatrist his job back after he is fired because a medical condition left him cross-eyed.

319. "CLOSET JUSTICE"
Judge Hiller assigns Lindsay the repugnant task of defending nun-killer Michael Kingston. Lindsay and Ellenor discover that the police search which uncovered the nun's chopped up body was unconstitutional. Although it sickens them, they move to have the evidence suppressed in order to set Kingston free. Helen delivers an impassioned speech about the intent and purpose of the 4th Amendment. But Judge Hiller has no choice but to set the brutal killer free. Jimmy and Rebecca defend a man on solicitation charges, claiming that the undercover cop used coercion and entrapment to entice him to commit the crime. Jimmy and Kittleson pursue a private relationship.

320. "HOME INVASIONS"
Lucy is stunned to learn that her landlord planted video cameras in her ceiling and uploaded videos of her showering and undressing onto the internet. Judge Kittleson is outraged when she finds details of her private life on the 'net as well, including pictures of her and Jimmy in an elevator. Helen recruits Ellenor to represent a witness when he decides to change his story in order to clear his father of charges of murdering his mother.

321. "INFECTED"
Helen is determined to make someone pay for the murder of Gordon Armbrust's wife. She brings felony murder charges against the son Gary to lying for save his father. Ellenor must fight to save the boy, but he receives the maximum sentence for perjury, 20 years. Rebecca takes the pro bono case of an ungrateful murderer after he fired his six previous attorneys. Bobby investigates a woman's mysterious death after routine cosmetic surgery, uncovering a trail of deception and disease behind the hospital's doors. (Special Note: This episode was directed by Dylan McDermott, the first time an ep was directed by a cast member)

322. "DO UNTO OTHERS"
Eugene defends a rabbi accused of rape. The rabbi admits a pre-existing relationship with the woman and claims that when she tried to break off the relationship it was only a means to arouse him. He also asserts that the woman "liked it rough." Eugene grapples with ethical questions when he finds out that this is not the first time the rabbi has been accused of raping a woman.

323. "HAPPILY EVER AFTER"
Lindsay is stabbed by an unknown assailant wearing a nun's outfit during a late night at the office. Lindsay manages to utter the word 'nun' to Bobby before passing out. Based on the information, Helen drags nuns into the courthouse for interrogation, reasoning that a nun upset over Michael Kingston's acquittal committed the crime. Jimmy finds a photo of Lindsay with her image scratched out in Judge Kittleson chambers, leading to the judge's arrest, and later her release. Other suspects include Kingston himself and Joey Heric, taking the firm and the viewers on a roller coaster ride of emotions and possibilities. Bobby proposes marriage to Lindsay, who accepts. The episode ends with a startling image of George Vogelman dressed in a nun's habit, wandering the streets of Boston.

SEASON 4:

401. "FREE DENTAL
Jimmy and Bobby defend a friend of Jimmy's -- a dentist accused of murdering a patient in his office, who was found with her mouth full of grape jellly. The attorneys discover that Dr. Henry Olson has a bug-crushing fetish. George Vogelman seeks Ellenor's help when his condominium association evicts him for moral terpitude. Ellenor resists George's advances when she feels their relationship is becoming too personal.

402. "BOSTON CONFIDENTIAL"
Lindsay decides to move in with Bobby, forcing Helen to find a new roommate. Ellenor happens to be looking for a new place to live. Bobby gets a wife-killer off on a technicality, then stumbles upon a secret liaison between the murderer and the arresting officer. Against the advice of his colleagues and an irate Judge Kittleson, Jimmy tries to right the wrong of the dentist serving time for the murder his son committed, ending in the boy's suicide.

403. "LOSER'S KEEPERS"
The entire firm is gripped with fear when Lindsay's assailant terrorizes their office. Rebecca defends a young man who was paid to plead guilty to a crime he did not committ, and she earns the respect of Judge Swackheim along the way. Jimmy receives a surprise visit from Judge Kittleson, who bares more than just her feelings when an entourage of police officers find her in Jimmy's apartment. Ellenor decides to move in with Helen. The two find themselves face to face with the nun-suit-clad George Vogelman, who is more deranged than anyone imagined. Helen does him in with a gunshot to the back.

404. "LEGACY"
Bobby's mentor and legendary attorney Raymond Oz returns seeking Bobby's legal help when his wife Joanne tries to declare him incompetent. Oz maintains that Joanne is trying to control his assests even though she cheated on him with someone else. Bobby realizes the extent of Oz's tragic mental state when he finds the old man naked in the bathroom. Things get even more complicated when Oz kills his wife and insists on serving as his own counsel. Eugene begrudgingly assists Harland Bassett, a sorry excuse for a lawyer who has never won a case. Ellenor sinks into a depression in the aftermath of the Vogelman incident.

405. "OZ"
Defending himself against murder charges, Raymond Oz manages to keep his dementia at bay long enough to mount a solid defense. He astounds the jury and the filled courtroom with his amazing lawyering. Helen, determined to crack the defendant under cross, leads him into a fit of rage. Bobby asks Judge Kittleson to recuse herself, which infuriates Jimmy. Bobby lashes out angrily at Oz, who wants only to preserve his reputation at all costs. When the jury finds him not guilty, Oz basks in the spotlight of his glory while Bobby worries about his mentor's decaying mental state.

406. "MAROONED"
Rebecca and Eugene defend a girl who murdered her mother. They allege that she suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder which triggered painful flashbacks of her father's sexual abuse. Bobby and Lindsay quarrel when Bobby insists Lindsay wear his mother's wedding dress. Their argument brings deeper issues to the surface about their relationship.

407. "VICTIMLESS CRIMES"
The court appoints Jimmy to represent an angry young woman who killed her rapist out of revenge. Although Darlene is antagonisic and shows no remorse for what she did, Jimmy grows to like his client. He must learn to use her anger as part of their defense. Lucy is shocked and angry when she realizes her dentist bit her breast while she was under anaesthetic. The entire firm is outraged when the dentist turns out to be Bobby's cousin, and Bobby agrees to represent him at the hearing.

408. "COMMITTED"
Lindsay must face her fears about whether a criminal can be truly reformed when she is appointed to represent serial killer Walter Aarons. Aarons is petitioning for release from a psychiatric hospital in which he has been incarcerated for twenty years. Although he murdered five young girls, Aarons is apparently no longer schizophrenic due to medication. But questions arise: is he really cured? A dead man is found in the bed of Eugene's ex-wife Sharon. Eugene must question his son's inncence when Kendall becomes a prime suspect in the murder.

409. "BAY OF PIGS"
After representing a former flame who sells her eggs over the Internet, Jimmy wants to rekindle their relationship. He has second thoughts, however, after breaking the news to Kittleson. Ellenor must cross-examine a man with a heart condition in the hospital after his wife hit him with a car. The acrimonious couple makes things even more interesting when Ellenor and the prosecuter, Richard Bay, don't get along. Bay accuses Ellenor of killing the man when he dies after cross-examination.

410. "DAY IN COURT"
Bobby and Eugene represent drug dealer and longtime client, Eddie Wicks, against murder charges. Wicks, who stabbed the victim seven times, insists on pleading self-defense. Wicks tries to strangle Helen in open court. But the judge refuses to declare a mistrial, and he and Bobby almost come to blows. Helen makes an imbittered speech about the tragic state of the American judicial system; then she creates a scene in the courtroom when she insults and condemns the jury for their verdict. Helen and Bobby both wind up in jail for contempt.

411. "BLOWING SMOKE"
Lindsay sues a cigar company for breaking up a marriage, and must face her own insecurities and fears about marrying Bobby. Rebecca defends an ex-boyfriend who shot and killed a young man in a store. She is stunned and disgusted when she realizes the man she thought she knew planned and intended to kill the boy all along.

412. "NEW EVIDENCE" (Part 1 of 2)
Lindsay travels to Los Angeles to defend an acquaintance accused of murdering a woman he met over the internet. Her gut instinct tells her the man is innocent, so Bobby, Ellenor, Jimmy and Lucy fly to California to help her. Dealing with not-so-friendly southern California natives, an uncooperative wife, and a stringent judge who hates out-of-staters, the lawyers prepare to launch an impressive defense for their client.

413. "HAMMERHEAD SHARKS" (Part 2 of 2)
Lindsay, Bobby, Ellenor and Jimmy struggle to create a viable defense strategy for Dennis Mills. Things look bleak until Lindsay makes a startling realization while questioning Mills' wife on the stand.

414. "CHECKMATES"
Helen tries to prosecute a detective's son for murder after she uses some unethical tactics to illicit a confession from the boy. Bobby and Eugene represent him and discover what Helen's been up to. Meanwhile, Ellenor clashes with Richard Bay again when she must represent a mentally incompetent client against murder charges.

415. "RACE IPSA LOQUITOR"
Jimmy fights to overturn the conviction of his friend, dentist Henry Olson. (see episodes 401 and 402). He succeeds in doing so - but only after a questionable bargain with ADA Richard Bay. Meanwhile, Eugene and Rebecca represent a woman suing a cosmetic surgeon for negligence in the death of her husband during routine liposuction surgery. Rebecca takes it personally when the opposing counsel attacks she and Eugene's integrity as lawyers.

416. "SETTLING"
A former client takes Bobby hostage 12 years after his trial. He claims Bobby did not do enough to get him acquitted. Meanwhile, Lindsay and Helen inspect wedding invitations with the help of a not-so-friendly store owner. The firm struggles to find out what happened to Bobby and discovers he has been kidnapped. They rush to the scene, and a dramatic showdown ensues.

417. "BLACK WIDOWS"
Bobby and Eugene defend a woman (guest star Victoria Principal) accused of murdering her husband by putting Viagra in his wine, causing him to have a heart attack during sexual intercourse. Helen uses questionable tactics and lies to a 15 year old girl to get a confession about murdering her unborn baby.

418. "DEATH PENALTIES"
Bobby and Helen clash in and out of court over a mercy killing; Helen refuses to plead out. Bobby must deal with his insecurities and his belief that he "killed" his mother when he shut off her respirator. Meanwhile, Ellenor travels to Philadelphia to save a deathrow inmate from execution.

419. "TILL DEATH DO US PART"
Ellenor, Eugene and Jimmy struggle to get a Pennsylvania court to allow a new DNA test that may keep Stuart Donovan from death row. Rebecca must represent an elderly couple fighting to stay married; things get complicated when it is revealed that the two were involved in a murder.

420. "LIBERTY BELLS"
Ellenor makes a final attempt to save Stuart Donovan from execution when the victim's body is exumed to uncover key evidence. When DNA testing proves someone else was at the scene of the crime, Judge Wood has no choice but let Donovan go. Ellenor stuggles with her emotions throughout the process.

421. "HONORABLE MAN"
Eugene and Lindsay defend a man of raping a murdering a young woman. Jimmy represents an old friend for invading the privacy of a man infected with AIDS.

422. "LIFE SENTENCE"
Ellenor represents a deaf woman (Marlee Matlin) who shot her child's killer in cold blood. Bobby and Lindsay finally tie the knot when Lindsay whisks the man off to Fenway Park for a surprise elopement.
